The Ruins

The ruins.

The name conjures up fear in all those who hear it.

Possibly the most mysterious place of all, every ghost hunter or daredevil who treks up to see them comes back with millions of reports of different phenomena ranging from psychic activity to the pillars rising from the ground to full-body apparitions of ghosts and ghost pokémon. People even recount seeing a huge, yellow and white figure with moss growing on it's feet stomping towards them before they fled.

They even say the legendary pokémon Mew has been seen, often with it's conterpart Mewtwo. They say it is a hotspot for legendary Pokémon, but hardly anyone dares go up there now...

As you walk towards the ruins, people stare at you in awe of your bravery, but you know even the bravest of men could not walk into there and come back without being scared.

You leave the people behind and reach the ruins. There are 3 pillars in the ground around a large stone statue of a massive Pokémon. It was not in colour, but you knew this was the creature people have seen coming to them. The pillars suddenly start to vibrate. Your heart thumps loudly. The one encased in steel starts to move upwards very slowly. Then the one covered in ice. Then the one covered in rocks. The ground begins to tremble as they go upwards, then, simultaneously, they stopped. You hear a child's laughter behind you. You spin around. Nothing is there. As you turn around, you think you see something purpley-black vanish in the corner or your eyesight. Your heart is beating faster than a hummingbird can beat it's wings - you begin to feel faint. You move away from the pillars and turn to look at the pathway, but instead there is a wall. You grab your Pokéball, turn around, and get ready to fight your way out.
